Welcome back!! I am so excited to see everyone back in school. Listed below are some guidelines from NYSED for the 2022-2023 school year. If you have any questions, please feel free to either call or email me. I hope everyone has an awesome school year!

Per the NYS Commissioner's Regulations, students entering the school district for the first time, and
in grades Pre-K (K if did not attend Pre-K at Morris), 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 and at any grade level by school
administration, in their discretion to promote the educational interests of the
student (8 NYCRR § 136.3[b]) need to provide a health certificate (annual physical) in the
first 30 days of school. If one is not provided to the school within 30 days, an examination will be conducted by the medical director here at the school.
Please note - Beginning January 31, 2021 physical examinations for school are to be documented on the NYS Required Health Examination Form
or an electronic health record equivalent form. No other forms will be accepted by our district as per NYSED after the date mentioned above.

Immunization Requirement

Students entering kindergarten will need one dose of the following: the fifth dose of Dtap, fourth dose of Polio vaccine, second dose of MMR, and second dose of Varicella.
Students entering the 6th grade will be required to have a Tdap vaccine; unless the child is not yet 11 years old, in which case this child would be required to get the Tdap vaccine no more than 14 days from his/her 11th birthday.
Students entering the 7th grade will be required to have the first dose of the Meningococcal vaccine.
Students entering the 12th grade and who are over the age of 16 will need their second dose of the Meningococcal vaccine.

Please remember, if your child doesn't feel well, has a fever, has tested positive for COVID-19, is vomiting or has diarrhea keep them at home and call the school.
